Caregiver Job Description
Georgia Healthcare and Family Service is seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to join our team. As a caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Responsibilities:
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Assist with mobility and transfers as needed.
Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure individualized care plans are met.
Document and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related role is preferred.
Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology and practices.
Ability to lift and assist with the mobility of clients.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Ability to pass a background check.
