Company Description TRINITY DEVELOPMENT CENTER is a Day Program for Intellectually and Developmentally disabled adults at 1568 N. Millbrook Fresno, CA. Job Description This is a part-time/full-time on-site role for a Disability Support Professional (CSP) at TRINITY DEVELOPMENT CENTER. As a Disability Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities. Your day-to-day tasks will include assisting with: Education, Enrichment, Activities, Outings, daily living activities, providing transportation, and promoting independence and inclusion for individuals with disabilities. Provide care and support to adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities during their time in our day program. Under the direction of the program manager and supervisor you will oversee and work directly with clients one on one and in groups. Help clients make goals and then work to achieve them. Implement behavior and lesson plans. Write daily progress reports and incident reports. Always engage with clients in a positive, uplifting manner. Support them in making their own informed decisions and achieving their goals. Redirect clients and help them stay on track. Actively participate in classes and client activities. Be physically active and join in games, singing, dancing, sports etc. Ability to remain calm, deescalate, and redirect client behaviors. Always abide by the TDC “Code of Conduct.” Assist with basic custodial, organizational, and facility maintenance activities. Help to keep the center clean and organized at all times. Participate in community integration activity trips off campus. Possibly assist in Driving clients to and from the TDC day program or other outings. Assistance with Toileting and other hygiene and life skills. Assist clients at mealtimes. Complete orientation Videos, Training, and First Aid certification. Desired Skills · Strong interpersonal and communication skills · Empathy and patience for individuals with disabilities · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills JOB REQUIREMENTS: · High school diploma or general education degree (GED). · Prefer three to six months of related experience working with developmentally or intellectually disabled or special needs persons. Personal experience with family members with special needs will also be considered. · Must possess valid California Drivers License and or reliable transportation. · Ability to pass 100% clean background check, physical, TB and drug test. · Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds. · Must have basic computer skills including word processing, excel, email, and basic office work tasks.
