We are a lifeline and peace of mind not only for seniors, but for people recovering from illness, injury or surgery; adults with disabilities; new and busy mothers; veterans; and anyone over the age of 18 who needs extra assistance The ideal candidate will have: Previous caregiving experience (preferred but not required) A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others A commitment to being present and providing quality care Empathy, patience, kindness and respect Ability to carry out direction, both verbal and written Ability to effectively manage the the client and their home Personal Care Assistant responsibilities include: Shower assistance and hygiene Walking, transfers, and mobility assistance Toileting care Other duties as assigned Medication reminders Companion Care assistant responsibilities include: Meal preparation Light housekeeping and laundry Shopping and transportation Activities such as, cards, games, and puzzles FirstLight offers: Flexible schedules Competitive pay based on experience Comprehensive paid training Rewards and recognition programs Fun, supportive and safe working environment Exceptional support team, WEEKLY PAY BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - 18 years old or more - We welcome candidates from all backgrounds - Access to a smartphone or PC – we use an app for client updates, clocking in/out, messaging capabilities, view online schedule. - Ability to carry out directions, takes initiative, verbally communicate with clients and staff. - Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job. - Proof of state issued driver's license/state ID and valid auto insurance - Physical requirements (able to lift 25 lbs) - Pass onsite drug screen - Clear background check
