Caregiver Job Description
Direct Care Staff shall perform duties as directed by posted duty list and from Facility Manager/QIDP/ Administrator/Executive Director. Responsible and competent in following active treatment plan and implementing goals and objectives from ISP (Individual Service Plan). Responsible to know the 1. Assist clients with self-help care skills, such as eating skills, personal hygiene, toilet training and household management duties. 2. Provide continuous supervision to the clients served. The ratio 3:1, clients to staff must be implemented at all times for safety purposes. Clients must never be left unsupervised and unattended. 3. Perform basic nursing procedures as instructed. When certified by the Facility Nurse, administers treatments and medications as ordered the Physician. 4. Follows and implements facility’s policies and procedures in accordance to the State/Federal regulations. 5. Reports significant observations to appropriate client and takes effective action. 6. Follows through with suggestions made by the professional staff. 7. Assists in creating a safe and therapeutic environment, respects each client’s dignity and protects their rights. 8. Transports/escorts clients to appointments and recreation activities. 9. Meal are considered “on duty”. Employees are not relieved from their duties to have their meals and agree to an on-the job paid meal period. 10. Adhere to the Company’s Standard of Conduct and Policies and Procedures according to local, state and federal regulations. client program plans and activity schedule.
