Caregiver Job Description
At CLIMB, we support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities where they live. As a Caregiver/Direct Support Professional (DSP)/ SLS support staff, you'll be part of our team helping to enrich the lives of those we serve. We support our clients with their activities of daily living as well as implementing individual program plans. No experience - not a problem. You bring the right attitude; we'll train you for success!
Daily requirements for the position:
- Assisting individuals with all aspects of daily living as needed: showering, personal hygiene, personal goals, and assistance with eating.
- Assisting individuals with chores such as bedding, laundry, cleaning/disinfecting common areas, and dishwashing.
- Mobility assistance such as: wheelchair, walker, cane, and walking side by side for balance.
- Assisting individuals with medication
- Documenting/writing daily notes to provide information to administrators and fellow staff regarding the wellbeing of the individual.
Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- successful clearance of background checks
- Able to pass physical, TB, Drug and Lift tests.
- Proof of Covid 19 vaccination is required for all incoming staff, accommodations can be made for valid reasons.

Preferred Licenses and Certifications:
- Drivers License with clear DMV
- DSP 1 and or DSP 2
- CPR/First Aid
Job Locations and Schedules:
All work schedules include weekends
Full Time(includes weekends) Part Time (weekends only).
Shifts currently available include afternoon shifts (3pm-11pm) and Overnight Shifts (11pm-7am).
Part time weekend shifts are also available.
Currently, we have openings in Sierra Madre, San Gabriel, and Alhambra CA
Compensation:
Starting at $15/hour, with annual increases. If you have a DSP 1 or DSP 2 certificate, starting pay is higher.
Covid-19 Considerations:
To keep our healthcare workers protected, PPE is provided to staff.
