Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Job Description
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS High school diploma or relevant qualification 60-Hr Certified Medication Aide CPR or BLS Certification (must complete within 3 months of hire) Adult Abuse Certification (must complete within 3 months of hire) OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: • At least 1 year experience as a CMA preferred but not required. • Good understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology. • Must have excellent attention to detail and awareness to administer medication to precise order and observing resident reactions. • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills • Must have the physical strength and endurance to perform essential job duties. • Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Administers medications and topicals as directed by resident's physician and the DON.
