DSP

• Provides 24-hour support and training to consumers • Supervises and conducts the consumers individualized training and positive behavioral support plans • Assures training in activities of daily living and in natural environments • Documents consumer behavior challenges daily and progress on skill objectives as specified in IPP • Provides social skills and self-advocacy training • Uses natural learning opportunities to train communication skills and other daily living skills • Follows treatment recommendations and plans set forth by the respective professionals • Provides health care and safety needs for all consumers • Maintains a clean and orderly home • Attends weekly staff meetings and in-services as scheduled • Transports consumers to doctor/dental appointments as assigned • Ensures that home is run according to the scheduled activities on a day to day basis • Assists with the self-administration of medication
