Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
1. Supervise and assist as needed residents during meal preparation, housekeeping responsibilities, personal hygiene, grooming and other activities as needed 2. Maintain clinical records as designated by policies and procedures such as but not limited to: documentation of participation in activities, physical observation, significant observation notes and any behavioral changes. 3. Supervise residents in recreational activities both in and outside of the home 4. Ensure residents safety by performing every hour safety round checks 5. Assist residents with ADL care and supervise all residents while showering 6. Be responsible during evening hours to contact appropriate administrative staff in case of an emergency 7. Make written reports of significant incidents occurring during shift 8. Serve as an informal advocate for residents and provide individual needs 9. Correct unacceptable behavior and help residents meet the necessary requirements of the house rules 10. Provide first aide assistance to all residents and assist in the follow through on medical needs for residents 11. Assist in maintain all necessary supplies for client needs i.e. grooming supplies, and items needed for staff job duties 12. Provide weekly laundry for assigned residents 13. Ensure resident bed has clean linen daily 14. Provide verbal cues to independent resident for showers, appointments and general upkeep 15. Assist in the general upkeep and repair of the home such as but not limited to cleaning residents rooms, making beds sweeping floor, and dusting furniture inside of residents room 16. Supervise residents during meal time 17. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Administrator/Supervisor 18. Report suspected abuse and neglect to supervisor immediately(within one hour
