Friendship Senior Options is currently hiring for full time C.N.A.'s for Day and PM shift at it's GreenFields Geneva location. Shift differential for pm shift. We have opportunities for C.N.A. candidates in our small, 43 bed skilled nursing unit, five-star staffing ratios: 1 C.N.A. to 7-8 residents under our new staffing model. CPR Card is required. Summary of Job Duties: GreenFields Certified Nursing Assistants provide a balance of emotional and physical support that allows our residents to function at their highest level of independence. This includes assisting with dressing, bathing, grooming, eating, mobility, range of motion, toileting and behavioral support according to the residents personalized plan of care. Maintain an environment that is safe for residents and fellow associates. Observes residents for changes in condition and reports to supervising nurse immediately. Performs assigned tasks as directed by the Unit Nurse and according to resident needs. These tasks include but are not limited to: taking vital signs, serving fresh ice water, juice and snacks, weighing residents, assist in orienting new residents on admission, assist with resident discharges, and transfer of residents. Complete assigned documentation both written and in Point Click Care (EMR) Ensure resident rooms and common areas are neat and clean. Communicate in a professional manner with residents, families, significant others, and co-workers utilizing a pleasant positive approach. Respect resident’s rights for privacy and dignity. Reports all suspected, alleged, and/or witnessed abuse immediately to nurse. Training and Development: Participate in staff meetings and in-services, attend organization wide programs and meetings, and maintain competence with specific C.N.A. assistant skills by performing competency training.
