Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Job Summary-To cater personal care, companionship and non-medical service to seniors, disabled, and people with special needs and conditions in their place of residence or stay, and to assist them in performing their daily activities, among other non-medical services. Job Description-Registered home caregivers are passionate individuals who will take joy in providing personal care to others in need. Some of the responsibilities and tasks may include: Catering to all personal care needs, Setting up and facilitating a personalized activity programs, Managing daily routines such as bathing, dressing, toileting & incontinence care, Helping with personal hygiene, grooming, tooth brushing, nail cutting, Assisting with light housekeeping activities, Performing laundry services, Providing companionship care, memory sharing, book reading, music & movie, Correspondence, making telephone calls, writing emails, writing letters, sending postcards, Running errands outside the house, walking outside, Ambulating and transportation to various appointments, Non-medical hospice care, Among others. Minimum Qualifications Must show compassion, empathy and have a passion for great customer service, Excellent interpersonal skills, Organizational skills, Being able to communicate in English, Moderate physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis, such as assisting clients in transfer activities and ambulation, and light housekeeping, Must be able to pass a criminal and background checks, Must be able to pass TB & drug tests, Work authorization status (visa, permanent residency, citizenship), and a second form of ID. Preferred Qualifications Being able to communicate in a secondary language such as Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Farsi, Arabic, Turkish, Indian, Armenian, French, Italian, German, Russian, etc. Prior caregiving experience, CPR certificate, Open and flexible availability (being able to work various shifts, nights or weekends), Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
