Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA) - Group Home

Magnolia Community Services is a multi-service non profit providing support for adults with developmental disabilities. We have an immediate need for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for our Group Homes located on campus in Jefferson, LA. We offer a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits package. Shifts currently available include Full-Time Tuesday - Saturday 4pm - 12am Tuesday - Saturday 12am - 8am Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Supports our residents by providing companionship, supportive listening and activities of daily living, i.e. bathing, dressing, feeding, etc. Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident directly to Nursing as well as completing daily logs to record progress Light housekeeping and laundry Assists with meal prep and feeding Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy Education/Experience/ License/Certification High School Diploma/GED Equivalent - Required Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification - Required CPR/First Aid - Required Must be flexible and prepared to work shifts including weekends and holidays Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred Ability to bend, stoop, carry, and lift light to moderate items Must be able to assist with mobility support and transfer assistance Compassion, positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a team player.
