Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
The caregiver will report to the House Manager; will have the responsibility of running the day-to-day operations of the home, which includes the following but are not limited too: Previous experience working with multiple elderly at one time a must. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, providing compassion, companionship, care and support to the residents in addition to emotional, physical and hygiene support and taking and/or scheduling weekly medical appointments. Must be detailed oriented, very observant and aware of surroundings. Must keep the house in viewing conditions at all times; maintaining cleanliness. Refill of prescriptions, make appropriate medical appointments and confirming transportation, as requested per Administrator. Be knowledgeable in principles of good nutrition, food preparation and storage a must; overseer of menu, sanitization of home and organize daily activities. Must be knowledgeable in providing care, transferring and supervision of residents, assist with self administrating of medication, medication management, in addition to being familiar with Title 22 laws, rules and regulations, must demonstrate leadership skills, a self starter and a team player; high school diploma or GED certificate a must. Maintain a valid CPR and first aid certification, negative TB clearance and must pass the DOJ background check. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
