Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Job Description
Reports To: Administrator Summary: To collaborate with the health care team and direct care team to provide client care. Duties and Responsibilities including the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary: 1. Inject patients with prescribed medications and keep injection calendar current. 2. Examine patients and advise in the event of illness or injury. 3. Provide in-service training to the company if requested. 4. Address staff and/or member groups on specific topics of concern or interest within the expertise of the Nurse. 5. Act as liaison between medical staff, medical consultants and staff. 6. Communicate urgent results with providers. Help schedule client’s appointments. 7. Keep a clean and organized work space. 8. Labs for clients and keep lab calendar current. 9. Communicate and check billing for Providers and Administrators. 10. Refill medications. Keep medication list in Valant accurate. To keep all other records accurate. 11. Work side by side with the NP and Psychiatrist during client visits. To support the work of the NP and Psychiatrist. 12. Coordinate flu vaccines for all clients 13. To assist with the floor when assigned tasks are completed. 14. To check email daily and respond daily to emails. 15. Lift up to 20 pounds and remain on feet for extended periods of time. 16. Maintain the ability to work at various necessary local business locations. 17. Follow posted schedule and maintain excellent attendance. 18. Performs other related duties as assigned.
