Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Certified Nursing Assistants: Must have the ability to carry out all duties of the NA II or NA 1 as outlined by North Carolina Board of Nursing and Division of Facility Services & perform skills safely & competently. Perform tasks, techniques, and document accurately and adequately to fulfill their job requirements. Comply with dress code and perform job related tasks as outlined in Our House Home Care Service policy & procedure manual. Demonstrate desire/readiness to assume role of a NAII or NA1. Always be professional and courtesy to clients being served! Duties: Provide or assist with ADL's (bathing, grooming, hygiene, nutrition, medication/vital signs monitoring, household management, etc); perform essential home maintenance task which are related to ADL deficits and client's home care at home (lite housekeeping & meal prep); maintain a clean,safe & therapeutic home environment for the client at all times, report & record changes in the client's condition, family situations or needs to appropriate professional; assist with prescribed exercises which the client and the Nursing Assistant have been taught by the appropriate professional personnel; it's the responsibility of the NA to submit complete and accurate documentation for insertion into the client's permanent record; commit to increasing knowledge & skills in order to remain current on NC Nurse Aid 1 and/or II registry and must be in compliance with all OHSA, HIPPA, and OHHCS confidentiality rules & regulations and must complete the Annual 12 hours CNA Test Requirement.
