Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Pioneer House AFH in Puyallup is currently looking for a very kind, positive, energetic, upbeat CNA to join our amazing team! We would like to hire someone who is interested and motivated to train for management after their 90 day probation period. Pioneer House team members provide personal care, showering, assisting with ADL’s and excellent hygiene care, medication management, meal preparation, housekeeping tasks, laundry services, cleaning, organizing and light baking. We also need people with excellent communication skills, someone who can help organize and communicate with hospice, home health PT, OT and Speech services, and someone who follows protocol on documentation All team members must be capable of lifting with no restrictions, bending, pushing, pulling, transferring residents and pushing residents in Wheelchairs, providing assistance with all tasks needed such as dressing, showering, bathroom assistance, wound care, medication administration, feeding, taking blood pressures, temps, respiration’s, weights, pulse and blood sugars, injecting insulin, turning and repositioning residents in bed and more. Staff must be capable of reading and writing English, speaking clear English, answering phones, customer service, handling medical emergencies and incidents as instructed and guiding residents and families in stressful situations along with many other tasks. We want staff who are team players, and givers not takers. To join our team, we REQUIRE a CNA or HCA license. We require a TB 2-step, CPR and First Aid, Food Handlers Card, Nurse Delegation Certificate, Diabetes Delegation Certificate. To be hired these other credentials will be required within 90 days: Mental Health Specialty Training and Dementia Specialty Training. Wa State background and fingerprint check are also required.
