HCA or CNA needed for a Puyallup Adult Family Home

Caregiver position/s for a Puyallup Adult Family Home . Near Shaw Elementary. NOC Shift: 10PM to 8 AM or up to 40 hrs. Many opportunities to get overtime . No smoking on grounds. Compensation: Based on Experience, Education and/or Shift *** $300 bonus will be paid after 6 months of quality performance.**** MUST BE SELF STARTERS AND TRULY CARE ABOUT ELDERLY-There is plenty to do during the night shift, however night shift is much more quiet and down time is permitted. Resident needs come first and cleaning and preping for the next day is expected as well. Our Residents do get up at night and use the bathroom multiple times. My AFH( ADULT FAMILY HOME) is a residential home with five residents and we strive to make each day count. Our team members are valued for that something extra we bring to the workplace. The home is spotless, and the grounds are very nicely landscaped. My Manager is excellent  in her job and we try to be supportive, while being professional in our work. We expect honest employees and someone who likes to talk and care for these senior ladies. If this is just going to be a temp job for you, or your going to school/college full time or working another job, I can NOT be flexible. You will have a set schedule and it must be meet, otherwise this will not be a good fit for either of us. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Maintain Professional Approach to Responsibilities, Confidentiality, Communication with Residents, Family Members, Other Staff Members and Vendors. 2. Must work well within a team and be able to solve practical problems. 3. Assist Residents with Meals and Activities. If working during the morning or days. 4. Monitor Residents for Changes in Condition and Report Changes. 5. Respond to All Resident Care Needs in a timely manner 6. Provide Resident ADL’S Including Showering, Hygiene Needs, Toileting, Dressing, Transfers. You will be responsible for at least one shower during your schedule. 7. Easy prep work for the next day. 8. General housekeeping including laundry 9. Medication assistance / Charting by electronic methods "computer program". Qualifications (or be enrolled in classes and able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire): *******DURING COVID WE CAN HIRE WITH basic QUALIFICATIONS******* 1. Must hold a current CNA certificate or HCA or in the process. 2. Must have dementia and mental health training and willing to take. 3. Current on CE hours and be able to pass background checks State and Federal. 4. Updated TB test. Needed at start if hire. 5. Must have CPR and First Aid for a health care provider. Neede at start 6. Food handlers.Needed for start of hire. 7. Nurse delegation class or able to get. Willing to take it. 8. Must have strong communication skills, meaning you speak and write the English language "clear and accurate".
