The RN is responsible to supervise the day to day nursing activities performed by the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and nursing assistants in accordance with current federal and local standards governing the facility. The RN is responsible for ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Ensure that nursing staff under direct supervision administer nursing care to patients/residents in accordance with all nursing department standards of practice. To maintain continuity of nursing care during shift transitions, receives and provides reports ( both written and verbal) to nursing staff and management and documents pertinent information on 24-hour nursing report in accordance with established procedures. Treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect.
