Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Location: Solano and Napa County, CA Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Job Summary: As a Buenavista SLS CNA, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or special needs. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will help clients with their daily living needs and ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role is critical to promoting client independence while providing necessary physical and emotional support. You will work closely with clients in their homes, assisting with daily tasks, monitoring their well-being, and promoting their overall comfort. Key Responsibilities: Personal Care: Assist clients with activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene, while maintaining their dignity and privacy. Vital Signs & Health Monitoring: Check and document vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Report any changes in health conditions to the supervising nurse. Mobility Assistance: Help clients with transfers, repositioning, and using mobility aids. Assist in physical therapy exercises as directed by healthcare providers. Daily Living Support: Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring clients follow dietary plans. Provide help with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. Emotional & Social Support: Engage clients in activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Offer companionship, listen to their concerns, and encourage involvement in social or community activities. Medical Assistance: Administer medication reminders, provide catheter care, assist with wound care, and other medical tasks as permitted by your CNA certification. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, including daily logs of client activities, health status, and any incidents. Requirements: Active CNA certification in California Previous experience in caregiving or similar roles (nor required but preferred) High school diploma or equivalent CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to assist with lifting and transfers Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance Cleared criminal background check (DOJ)
