Home Care Aide (HCA) Job Description
Job Summary: Next door Homecare is seeking a compassionate Non-Medical In-Home Caregiver for Elderly individuals. This role focuses on providing essential non-medical assistance to seniors, allowing them to maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals while adhering to dietary preferences and restrictions.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Offer transportation for errands, appointments, and social outings.
- Provide reminders for medication and assist with medication management.
- Document care activities accurately and promptly.
- Duties will be unique depending on client
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in non-medical caregiving, especially with elderly individuals.
- Compassionate and reliable with excellent communication skills.
- Clear background check and clean record.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
