Home Care Aide (HCA) Job Description
In-home aide/caregiver is to assist a client with their personal care needs which can be assisting with dressing, bathing, toileting, hair care, skin care, oral care & nail care plus shoes & socks and completing dressing as well as meal prep, cooking & cleaning up kitchen/dishes, remind to take their meds., encourage intake (food & fluids), assist with walking, keep safe, prevent falls/injuries, companionship, communication, errands, doctor or hair appts., and to communicate with the RN and the client's family. Follow direction from the RN and office. Understand our EVV system. Ask questions during your orientation and at any time. We look for people who have a kind disposition, enjoy assisting the elderly, disabled of all ages and are willing to learn. Must have a dependable vehicle, be dependable, and care about your client (job). We teach you about how our company runs and what we expect at orientation and throughout your employment. Every 2-3 months we give educational topics with a certificate when the short test is passed that helps you expand your knowledge of caring for others and we cover important health topics. To start please bring your social security card, driver's license, auto insurance (proof), a recent TB skin test, CPR/CPR refresher course certificate/card. (We help you understand the requirements.
