Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
We are looking for compassionate personal care aides to provide support for our clients in the Cherokee county. Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Ensure client receives their medication on time
Provide companionship
Help client dress, bathe, eat etc., if requested
Assist client with simple exercises if allowed by physician
Cook/prepare meals according to the customer’s restrictions if needed
Do light housekeeping to maintain a clean environment
Provide emotional support
Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Skills and Requirements:
Proven experience as personal care assistant
Committed to health & safety
Able to do light housekeeping
Well-organized and reliable
Excellent communication and people skills
Positive and compassionate attitude
Strong ethics
Physical stamina
CPR certified
Negative TB test
Clean criminal background check according to Georgia Department of Community Health requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
A valid driver’s licence
