TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS 8AM-12PM A home care aide, also known as a home health aide or personal care aide, plays a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals who need help with their daily living activities, especially in the comfort of their own homes. The job description for a home care aide typically includes the following responsibilities and duties: Personal Care: Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Helping clients with mobility, transfers, and positioning. Medication Management: Assisting clients with medication reminders and ensuring they take their prescribed medications as directed by a healthcare professional. Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions and preferences. Feeding and assisting clients with eating when necessary. Light Housekeeping: Performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and laundry. Maintaining a safe and clean living environment. Companionship: Providing emotional support and companionship to clients. Engaging in conversation and recreational activities.
