The care providers of Personal Care Associates Elite are not just amazingly awesome, highly trained support, but they are moms, aunties, sisters, and even uncles, who completely understand your needs and lead with compassionate care first. * What You Will Do Home health aides provide personal care and assistance to patients in their homes. They help with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Assist clients with a variety of daily living activities including: Ambulation and transfer activities. Ostomy care. Assists clients with medical equipment, supplies, and devices as prescribed. Assists with self-administered medication. Simple skincare. Takes and record pulse, temperature, respiration, and blood pressure. Performs light housekeeping activities (tidying, shopping, laundry). Observes, reports, and records changes in the client's condition and environment. Adheres to accepted infection control practices. Assists with nutritional and fluid intake needs, including preparation of meals. Ensures client's rights and confidentiality are maintained. Bathing, change of bed linen, toileting, dressing, feeding, shampooing, shaving, mouth care, nail care, and prescribed skin care. Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a state-approved home health aide training program. Passing a competency exam. Compassion, patience, and good communication skills.
