They are responsible for caring for multiple residents with various needs within an assisted living environment in a variety of ways that meet the needs of the home. The Universal Care Partner provides personal care services, homemaking services, prepares, and serves nourishing and attractive meals, and coordinates activities to promote resident involvement with each other and our community. The Universal Care Partner is under the direction of the Director of Nursing and the House Manager. The Universal Care Partner will deliver companionship and personalized care while promoting safety and encouraging resident independence and self-care. This position offers a unique opportunity to explore multiple facets of an assisted living environment. Duties described within this job description are subject to change and can be altered or revised as needs of the residents under our care or needs of the facility arise. **This is a part-time evening position (2:45pm-11:00pm) that also requires working every other weekend. The position offers an additional $3.50/hour for evening shifts and an additional $3.00/hour for weekend day shifts** About You: Successful completion of a formal certification training program and/or a written skills assessment and competency evaluation. Demonstrated ability to read, write and follow a written Plan of Care. Experience in an assisted living, independent or long-term care environment preferred. Passion to work with seniors and help them experience life to the fullest. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must pass a background study with the Minnesota Department of Human Services and negative Tuberculosis (TB) test. Experience in preparing food. Willingness to encourage and engage residents in a variety or planned and suggested activities. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Comply with Resident Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures. Perform tasks within the physical requirements.
