Garvey Manor is a Catholic Continuing Care Retirement Community, providing long-term care and services to our primarily elderly residents. Positions available are for 2nd shift (2:30 pm to 10:30 pm) Applications may also be accepted for part-time or PRN (casual). 12 hour shifts are also available, especially for weekends. Responsibilities Manage a unit of 18-24 residents Direct Nurse Aides to ensure compliance with regulations, facility policies and procedures, and most importantly, adherence to residents' care plans and ADL directives Medication administration Nursing care functions to include (but not limited to treatments, glucometer checks, vitals, range of motion, catheter/colostomy care, etc.) Documentation Communication with residents, families/visitors, staff regarding resident condition Consultation with RN Supervisor as needed or required Requirements** Must have an active license in good standing as a LPN in Commonwealth of PA or have a temporary permit to practice. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 25 pounds.
