Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Description
General Purposes: To provide nursing care to Residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulation, and as may be directed by the Director of Nursing or Nursing Department Managers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and review medical records and nurse's notes, and assess residents to evaluate their physical and emotional status. Monitor residents activity and provide nursing care according to the physician's orders, care plans, established standards and facility policies. Coordinate and assists or prepare for new admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents. Transcribe physician's telephone orders. Communicate with residents, family members, other interdisciplinary team members, and management regarding resident status. Prepare and administer medication as order by the physician in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies. Requirements: Must be License Vocational Nurses in good standing & currently licensed by the state. CPR Certified Capable of maintaining regular attendance Capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
