Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
Job Duties:
1. Provide personal care assistance to clients in accordance with their individual care plans.
2. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
3. Support clients with mobility assistance, including transferring and positioning.
4. Prepare and serve meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
5. Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, vacuuming, and tidying up client areas.
6. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
7. Escort clients to appointments and outings as needed.
8. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client’s condition.
9. Follow all policies, procedures, and safety protocols of Sara’s Comfort Care LLC.
Additional Requirements:
1. Confidentiality: Caregivers must not discuss their personal health or any personal matters with clients. Caregiver is there solely to provide care and support.
2. Training: Caregivers must attend annual trainings as mandated by Sara’s Comfort Care LLC. Additional day-to-day trainings may be required as needed.
3. Age Requirement: Caregivers must be 18 years or older.
4. Transportation: Caregivers must have their own reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes.
5. Willingness to Learn: Caregivers must be open to learning new skills and techniques to improve care delivery.
