Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW Consumer Direct Care Network is seeking highly-detail oriented, self-starters to serve as a Caregiver with our clients. In this important role, you'll be responsible for supporting individuals of various ages in need of in home care assistance. You may provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting), respite and/or homemaker services for those who choose to maintain a quality of life in their own homes and communities. Successful candidates will travel to the consumer’s residence to provide in home services. Assisted Living experience a plus. WHAT YOU WILL DO •Provide compassionate, empathetic, and professional personal care in a client-focused manner •Exceed the needs of the consumer in accordance with professional standards of practice through company policies and procedures; including federal, state, and local guidelines •Demonstrate an optimistic and social personality capable of receiving progressive direction and feedback •Demonstrate a strong capacity to interact and manage a multitude of diverse consumers •Be successful in a collaborative fast paced environment with requirements of working both independently in consumer’s homes, and with teammates in the office. Must be confident and self-sufficient to utilize resources which will best serve the needs of the consumer •Demonstrate the ability to interact, evaluate circumstances, and subsequently offer solutions in situations when consumers may become distressed •Implement written company procedures and guidelines, resource tools, and effectively facilitate success in conflict •Maintain confidentiality and will not discuss identifying information of any consumer outside of the company •Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS - Demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language. - 18 years of age or older - reliable transportation - Must be able to successfully pass a background screening - Must be able to present a negative TB test (2 step skin test or blood test) - Submit a Statement of Good Health - CPR / First Aid certified (will train) WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU When you join Consumer Direct Care Network, you will be exposed to numerous professional development opportunities.
