Title: Registered Nurse
Mission: The Registered Nurse is responsible for directly providing quality patient care. To access, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing process through LHS policies, procedures and standards, care will be provided within the framework of the nursing services philosophy.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs the initial nursing assessment of clients for admission criteria.
Assists the physician in developing the initial and ongoing plan of care.
Reviews and updates plan of care as necessary.
Orients staff members to each case as applicable.
Point of contact with the physician, pharmacist and referral sources regarding client’s condition and progress.
Provides ongoing clinical monitoring.
Ensures coordination of client services.
Ensures clinical documentation meets LHS documentation standards.
Reports to Director of Nursing and/or the Physician any changes in the patient condition and needs.
Adheres to administrative and patient care policies including the implementation of client rights and responsibilities.
Education Qualification
1. Current license as a registered nurse in the state in which practicing.
2. One year experience as a registered nurse with population being served preferred.
3. Current CPR and First aid
