Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description
Our home health care agency is rapidly expanding and we are hiring a Home Health Nurse effective immediately. We work with patients of all ages and backgrounds who require daily care in their homes. Most of our patients are elderly and/or terminally ill, so we hire the most compassionate and thoughtful talent in the field. You will be responsible for managing a heavy case load, so time management skills are essential. However, it is important to provide each patient with the time and attention necessary to meet his or her needs. JOB DESCRIPTION OF RN - Responsible for assessing patients’ medical conditions and deciding on a course of care with Doctors - Work in a team of other staff like LPNs and Nurse Assistants to oversee patient care plans - Evaluate the patient’s response to medical care and adjust the care plan accordingly - Administers IV Infusion and medication - Checks vital signs, administers wound care, and draws labs - Assesses the physical condition of patients - Reviews the safety of the home for the patient - Ability to do Start of Care as well as Recertify patient for home health services While these are the core responsibilities you will assume as a Home Health Nurse under the different tiers of credentials, these may change depending on the age of the patient you are assigned to care for and the extent of the patient’s medical needs. CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED Valid RN License CPR Certification REQUIREMENT MUST HAVE 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN HOME HEALTH CARE MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE AND AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE. MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US.
