My dad was sent here on January 18, 2025 after a week long hospital stay for a kidney and blood infection. On January 19, 2025 we (mom and I) visited him. This place is dismal. I understand they are short staffed, and trying. I understand his stay was supposed to be short for rehab, but in the 1 night and day he was there he was not cared for appropriately. He told us they weren't going to do anything with him, so I went to speak with the charge nurse. She did confirm his rehab plan, but she told me that he "had an accident" this morning, and was able to change his own clothes. He however, told us, he peed in the bed last night and they left him there all night, wet, and it wasn't until morning he could get clean. His bed was not flat, but trough shaped, maybe to prevent him from falling out, but it only prevented him from being able to get up on his own. Basically, I think they are doing the best they can, considering they are under staffed. But, this is NOT a place for rehabilitation, this is a place you go to, to die.
I was a resident here for one month. I felt very welcome right away. I will be going home in two days and I can honestly say that, although I am so excited about getting to go home, I also have mixed feelings, because I have made so many great friends here that I will miss. Everyone here has been very nice and helpful to me. I was here for physical therapy and they did exactly what I needed. They were very patient with me and gently encouraged me to gain more strength until now I am able to go home! This is a good place to be. Thanks for all your great help!
After the shock of having to place our father in a care facility so quickly . The staff at Arbor's made the transition so easy for us. They were always attentive to my daddy and checked in on him often, even in the middle of the night (I know because we popped in).the night he died they sat with us ,cried with us and mourned as if it was their own family member. Thanks for all you did for my daddy and also my Aunt as she was recovering from a short illness. We will highly recommend your services.
My brother-in-law has been there less than a week. He has a broken call button, never has water to drink when my sister goes to see him, which is daily, their dinners are served on paper plates, Styrofoam cups, and cheap plastic ware because a floor is being installed in the kitchen. This has been going on for weeks! The food is awful! My sister tasted the Mac and cheese and it had a tin taste. Canned Mac and cheese? We are about to call the State on this rat trap. Don't send your loved ones here! tin
