Very bad care, was fine and told just needed some more rehab then after they all said going home a week later something happened they didnt know the cause and covered it up never sent to hospital 3 wks later gone. The feeling we have is ran out of money and then the care was not happening we know a bedsore was present but no one will say if it was cared for. Dont let it happen to someone you care about they (the home) also involved a trustee and if she dont like you she ignores your concerns and ignored the patient was supposed to be in her care.

My 92 year old mother went to Elizabeth Scott for rehab following surgery related to a fall, then returned back to Elizabeth Scott after a second fall. My husband and I were very happy with her care. ALL of the staff: nurses, nursing assistants, dietary, social worker, the person in the business office, all were caring, professional and supportive. Everyone went above and beyond to be there for her and for us.

I recently had my second hip replacement, July 2024; my first surgery was performed last December, 2023. For the first replacement I entered a rehab facility whose reputation was unbeknownst to me although its name was well known in the community. For the entire month that included Christmas I was situated in an area dedicated to patients with Alzheimer's dementia. Although the staff there was friendly it lacked the attention and responsiveness I received the last 2 weeks while at ESC. Expecting to receive similar care that I experienced the first time around, I was frankly shocked to the attention and compassion shown to me around the clock - 24/7 - at ESC. The service and professionalism exhibited was top notch. From the nursing staff and their aides constantly monitoring my vital signs; to the therapists who pushed me and the young ladies who distributed snacks throughout the day; to the maintenance staff constantly making sure the hallways were kept spotless, I could not have asked for better care nor a better place where to do my rehab. I am not anticipating another surgery but if one were to come again, there is no question which rehab center will be my first choice - Elizabeth Scott Community Center .

My mother who has dementia/Alzheimer’s is a resident at Elizabeth Scott. It is a beautiful facility, inside and out. The care she received while in assisted care was very good. However, when her money ran out and she had to depend on Medicaid to pay for her to stay at Elizabeth Scott she was moved into an entirely different building with unfamiliar surroundings to her. She got settled into a new room and could only have a few personal belongings. Since arriving in the new building I would say her care has been sub-par. Recently she has been moved to two different rooms and her belongings, including clothing and glasses have been scattered and no one seems to know where they are. She gets things put into her dresser and closet that belong to other residents and her things are missing. While the money to pay for her care was coming from her she was treated so much better than now. Just a warning for those looking for a place for their loved one.

My grandma was at Elizabeth Scott. She was treated with disrespect. When I explained to the kitchen worker. She cannot eat chicken. He had an attitude. Then came back with a plate of food and just dropped it in front of her. They had her sitting in the table alone, staring at a wall while everybody else had someone to sit with. when I arrived one day, she was still in a poopy diaper. The owners gave me a hard time getting her released into my care. I explained to them that I have ohioans come, my sister and I will be here full-time. They made me feel like the only thing they wanted was her assets. I even set up an appointment in order to learn now to do her physical therapy. when I arrive for the appointment, they already took her down with physical therapy. They said they forgot I was coming.
