Caregiver Job Description
Turner In Home Care Services is seeking compassionate and dependable caregivers to provide quality in-home support to individuals who need assistance with daily living activities. Caregivers play a vital role in helping clients maintain their independence, safety, and dignity while remaining in the comfort of their own homes.
The ideal candidate is caring, reliable, patient, and committed to providing respectful, person-centered care.
Responsibilities
Caregivers may assist clients with a variety of non-medical support services, including:
• Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Meal preparation and light cooking
• Light housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, dishes, laundry)
• Assistance with mobility and fall prevention
• Medication reminders (non-medical)
• Companionship and emotional support
• Assistance with errands or transportation when needed
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• Reporting changes in a client’s condition to the care manager or supervisor
• Following the client’s individualized care plan
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous caregiving or home care experience preferred but not always required
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
• Ability to follow care plans and company policies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professionalism
• Reliable transportation preferred (depending on job duties)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass drug screening if required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as needed
• Ability to assist clients with mobility when required
• Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks
