We are seeking a Post-Acute CNA whose primary responsibility is to assist the professional nursing staff by performing specific functions in caring for Residents in the Health Center under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse. Key Responsibilities: Lift, move and transport residents, using proper body mechanics for accident prevention. Incorporate “transfer codes” policy when transferring the resident to minimize the risk for injury to resident or self. Reports all unsafe/ hazardous conditions, and/ or defective equipment to Manager. Reports all incidents/accidents, no matter how minor, to Manager. Perform various administrative duties and responsibilities, such as: reporting all accidents; answer phones; relay messages; refer messages appropriately. Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with policies and procedures as instructed by the nurse. Answer call bells promptly and courteously. Perform walking rounds and communicate with nurse on a regular basis to obtain information or exchange information when indicated throughout their shift. Maintains a clean and neat appearance. Nails are to be kept short and clean. Artificial nails are prohibited. Assist Residents daily with dental and mouth care, bathing functions (including sponge baths, showering), backrubs, dressing and undressing, hair care, nail care. Qualifications: Must be able to successfully maintain established competencies for the position. Must demonstrate effective communication skills: both oral and written. Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Minimum Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be Certified as a Nursing Assistant through a State approved program and hold a license in good standing by the State of Florida.
