As a Health & Wellness Assistant, you'll help create exceptional daily experiences for residents by providing compassionate care, supporting independence, and delivering personalized service through The Sterling Touch®. Whether assisting with activities of daily living, supporting wellness initiatives, helping with medication administration (where licensed), working in Luminations® (memory care), or simply being a trusted companion, you'll make a meaningful difference every day.



In this role, you will:





  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, communication, and toileting


  • Support residents in accordance with their personalized care plans while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being


  • Observe residents and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing team


  • Provide medication assistance and administration in accordance with state regulations and community policies when appropriately licensed and assigned


  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and families while creating a warm, engaging atmosphere


  • Participate in community activities, wellness programs, dining experiences, and special events


  • Work collaboratively with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience


  • Ensure exceptional documentation is submitted for all services provided or declined




 



We're looking for individuals who are passionate about service, hospitality, and senior care.

Preferred qualifications include:





  • High School Diploma or GED, required


  • One or more years of experience providing assistance with activities of daily living, highly, preferred


  • One or more years of experience working with seniors, preferred


  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and/or Certified Medication Aide (CMA) credentials, preferred or required as applicable by state and assignment


  • Experience with caring for seniors will be considered in lieu of licensure


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


  • A positive attitude and genuine desire to enhance the lives of others


  • Ability to read, write, and understand English in order to communicate effectively with residents, guests, supervisors, and team members


  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and remain active throughout the shift


  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
