To provide assistance to older individuals and/or caregivers to maintain, strengthen and safeguard functioning in the home. This includes but not limited to the following: 1. Perform general housekeeping tasks that include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing bathroom fixtures, dusting, changing bed linens, cleaning stoves and ovens, laundry, emptying trash and other tasks needed to maintain the client in a safe and sanitary environment. 2. Shopping for groceries and other essential needs. 3. Short term respite care. 4. Minor home/yard maintenance such as changing light bulbs, sweeping porches and walkways. 5. Provide assistance with meal preparation and preservation. 6. Maintains work records of each service visit. Credentials and Experience • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with client and supervisor and have an eighth grade education. • Be capable of completing assigned job duties. • Be capable of following a care services plan with minimal supervision. • Must have a valid South Carolina Drivers License. • Must have own transportation and proof of insurance. • Be at least eighteen (18) years of age. • Must be knowledgeable of physical and emotional needs of the age groups served, and are capable
