Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Supports patients by providing housekeeping and laundry service, shopping for food and other household requirements, preparing and serving meals and snacks and running errands. Assist with doctors appointments and medication reminders. Assist patient by providing personal services, such as, bathing ,dressing and grooming. Recognizes abnormal changes in body functioning and the importance of reporting such changes to nurse supervisor. Provide and reinforces other behavior consistent. Encourage patients and provide emotional support. Know how to respond to patients behavior. Allow patients to make personal choices. Must have High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training. Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in interdisciplinary care setting with patients, families and staff members.
