Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description

Classification: Full Time – Part Time
Schedule: 8-hour shift – First and Second, 12-hour shift - AM and PM, 2- or 3-day Baylor Program (2 day - 16hr shifts Saturday and Sunday/3 day - two 12hr shift Saturday and Sunday and one 8hr shift Friday)
Starting Rate: $17.00, experience increases entry level rate.
Position Highlights:
-Observe the needs of the residents and respond to those individual needs. Respond to all call bells in a timely manner.
-Perform or assist with bed baths, tub baths, showers, oral hygiene, grooming and bedside care as well as toileting and/or incontinence care.
-Make beds, change linen and keep resident’s rooms neat and tidy.
-Provide food and liquids for nutritional intake. Complete required documentation.
-Take temperatures, pulses, respirations, blood pressures and weights, and document results. Assist in the collection of urine specimens for lab tests.
-Transfer of residents from wheelchair to chairs and beds, and being familiar with proper lifting techniques and mechanical lifts.
-Complete resident care and other duties as directed by Unit Nurse or Supervisor.
Education and Experience:
-Nursing assistant course completion
