Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description

The health services at Brevillier include, but not limited to, home care, hospice care, rehabilitation, and personal care. Classification: Full Time Schedule: Monday-Friday 7pm-7:30am. 12hr shifts rotating 3 or 4 days per week with a total of seven shifts per pay period. Starting Rate: $30/hour + $5/hour differential for 3rd shift; experience increases entry level rate. Position Highlights: -Administer and record medications and report any adverse reactions or side effects. -Complete duties as required by RN Licensure and State or Federal Regulations (ex. Pronouncement of death, Central IV lines, etc.) -Administer skilled treatments, perform procedures, and record results. Report any unusual reactions or side effects. Document resident’s tolerance to treatment or procedure. -Assist attending physicians or care providers with examinations and procedures as needed or requested. Ensure that all physician orders are carried out promptly and accurately. Notify POA (Power of Attorney) and physician of any changes. -Ensure that physicians complete required paperwork. Complete all required charting/documentation and accurate order entry. -Report and record any change in habits, appearance or attitudes of residents, notifying the D.O.N., IC Nurse, Therapy, RNAC and other appropriate persons. -Assist in evaluating work performance of nurse aides, nursing procedures and work rules on the unit to ensure they are done properly as well as completing commendations, contacts and coaching’s as needed. -Complete lab requisitions, consult sheets, X ray requisitions, appointment transfer sheets and any other forms as needed per physician orders.
