JonSan Home Health is a locally owned and operated company in San Antonio, TX which is licensed by the State of Texas, and accredited by ACHC. Established in 2015, the organization has been trusted to provide quality care solutions to keep adults as independent and safe as possible in the comfort of their own home. We are currently hiring HHAs/CNAs/Caregivers to provide excellent care to the community within San Antonio & Austin including the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Light Meal Preparation
Skin Care
Light Housekeeping
Bathing Grooming Dressing
Personal Hygiene Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Environment and Working Conditions: In patient homes in various conditions, possible exposure to blood and body fluids and infectious diseases; ability to work flexible schedule, ability to travel locally.
Must have reliable transportation.
Physical and Mental Requirement:
Possible prolonged standing and walking required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and transfer/move patients.
Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines, to identify patient needs, to make quick decisions and meet patient/family needs.
Ability to use durable medical equipment in the home.
Licensure: Must have current Drivers license.
CNA certification preferred, but not required.
Experience: At least one year experience, preferred, as Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home, home health agency, hospice, or long term care facility or completion of Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide Program. Agency willing to train if needed.
Skills: Must be able to read, write, and verbally report clinical information to patients, representatives and care givers, as well as to other Agency personnel.
MUST HAVE OR OBTAIN CPR.
Transportation: Reliable transportation required.
Valid and current auto liability insurance
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time. PRN available
Pay: varies per position/ experience Caregivers: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
HHA's: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
CNA's: $15.00 to $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Flexible - You make your own schedule - accepting a project means you will fulfill the needs of the client at all times.
Monday to Friday and weekends
Weekend availability occasionally required
Willingness to travel: 100% (Required)
Work Location: On the road, patient homes
