Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
The Home Care Aide provides specifically defined, non-skilled health care services under the supervision of designee to enable the client to remain in the home. The Home Care Aide provides personal care and light housekeeping services in the home setting of the client and families who are unable to perform these activities independently. The Home Care Aide conforms to all agency policies and procedures including providing care in compliance with the agency Bill of Rights, observing client and family confidentiality and adherence to agency dress code.
Additionally, duties/ Essential Functions include assisting in ambulation or exercises. Performs personal care activities, including but not limited to: Bathing, Shampooing, Skin care, Oral hygiene, shaving and dressing. Reports any observed or reported changes in the client's condition and/ or needs to the office director. Follows reporting guidelines in the care plan. Promotes personal safety and a sage environment for clients by observing infection control practices, following agency guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the supervisor/case manager.
