Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Panorama's Assisted Living is looking for an experienced Medication Aide/NAC for day shift. Day shift is 7:00am-3:30pm, Schedule is 5 on/ 2 off. Days off rotate on a quarterly basis. Panorama’s Assisted Living is a social model that offers supportive services such as meals, housekeeping and laundry. Light assistance with personal care and medication are available at a higher level of service. We like to think our Assisted Living is life as our residents know it, just a little easier! This is demonstrated in our staffing ratios and ability to provide you with the tools you need to provide care successfully. On average, our residents spend 2-3 years in this level of care within our community, allowing us to build rapport, get to know them and their needs. JOB SUMMARY Responsible to provide personal care assistance, daily activity support, including medications, and provide a safe and secure environment while promoting independence, dignity and respect. Monitor and ensure general, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of the residents. Assist with daily meal service. Assist with housekeeping and laundry services as needed. Applicants that completed Nurse Delegation Training required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain Panorama Assisted Living vision and philosophy. Assist all residents with personal care needs, such as medications, oral hygiene, daily reminders, transferring, ambulating, grooming, i.e. make-up, powder, deodorant, shaving, etc. Communicate changes in the physical and/or emotional status of the resident and/or family. Report any medical issues to the nurse on duty Maintain current and accurate records. Assist/transport residents to and from the dining room as needed. Assist with dining room service and tray delivery/pick-up of meals to the residents. Monitor food intake when assigned. Assist with resident activities and snacks as needed. Assist with any housekeeping that is needed, i.e. making beds, straightening rooms, laundry, cleaning of common areas, etc. Follow assigned sheets for toileting needs, bath schedule, etc. Receive verbal shift exchange from Medication Assistant and/or LN at the start of your shift. Practice proper Universal Precautions and body mechanics for resident and staff sanitation and safety. Maintain confidentiality of all resident medical and any other personal information. Maintain constant awareness of traffic in and out of the community, screen visitors and refer them to the appropriate staff/resident. Respond and assist with any resident emergency Report any unusual incidents to the LN, Administrator or Medication Assistant. Maintain a professional, caring approach when dealing with the residents, families, staff, visitors, vendors and the general public. Maintain all equipment in a clean and safe manner. Attend all meetings that LN or manager deems necessary. Any other duties as required by the LN or Administrator. Transportation Escort. REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent. Current Washington State Nursing Assistant, Certified. Nurse Delegation Training required. The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language is required. Aptitude for the job is also required. Current Washington State Nursing Assistant, Certified certification. Food handler permit, First aid, CPR is required and Completion of Fundamentals of Caregiving within 90 days of hire. Applicants must be fully vaccinated to be eligible for this position.
