Transportation Aide / Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

Wage not specified Morningstar Living is currently hiring a Certified Nurse Aide to serve as a Transportation Aide for our Moravian Hall Square Campus in Nazareth, PA. This opportunity is part-time with benefits including paid time off, 401k, and many more. The primary purpose of the Transportation Aide position is to accompany residents to and from appointments such as physician appointments, diagnostic procedures, hospital admissions, etc. The Transportation Aide will also perform related non-professional services necessary to meet the physical, psychological, social, emotional, and religious needs of the residents. What will I do as a Transportation Aide? Accompany residents in the MHS van to and from appointments. Transfer resident to and from wheelchair with assistance if needed. Obtain necessary paperwork from Unit Clerk/RN Supervisor, deliver to appropriate personnel at scheduled appointment, deliver from physician to RN Supervisor. Transport resident to wheelchair van or regular van and assist van driver in positioning and securing resident safely into the van. Observe resident and report all unusual or serious conditions or incidents or any significant changes to the RN Supervisor. Perform nursing duties and responsibilities relevant to routine bedside nursing care required to meet the physical, psychological, nutritional, religious, emotional, and social needs of the residents, regardless of location, for example: bathing, feeding, dressing, undressing residents, bed making, personal hygiene, ambulation, TPR's, BP's, intake and output, skin care, etc. What do I need to be aTransportation Aide? Must be at least 18 years of age and free of communicable disease. High school diploma or GED required. Experience in the health care field. Continuing possession of certificate issued by the State Department of Health Nurse Aide Certification Program. Must have and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
