Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description

Position can be hired as a PCA/Caregiver or a CNA/Certified Nurse Assistant We have full time and part time positions available. St. Paul's is offering a $500 signing bonus for Full- Time positions! Under the direction and supervision of the In-Home Services CNA Supervisor, responsible for providing and assisting participants with activities of daily living, restorative and supportive care necessary to the preservation of the home environment. Assists in monitoring and reporting the health status, and providing a safe environment for the PACE participants of St. Paul’s PACE Functions as a member of interdisciplinary team. Licenses and Certifications: Successful completion of First Aid and CPR training in person with the American Heart Association. Must have a valid driver’s credentials and reliable transportation. Qualifications and Requirements: Experience: A minimum of one year’s experience in working with the frail or elderly population required. Shall have either training or related experience in the job assigned. Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin helpful, but not required Duties and Responsibilities: Consults each day with the In-Home Services CNA Supervisor to be updated on St. Paul’s PACE participant’s status, changes in care plan and to confirm scheduled visits. Under the direction and supervision of the In-Home Services CNA Supervisor assists participants in the home with the following duties: Personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care and bathing. Assists participants in and out of bed assisting with ambulation Assisting with prescribed exercise which participants and aide have been taught by appropriate personnel Prepares meals, including therapeutic diets, assists participants with meals. Assist participants to the bathroom or in using commodes, bedpans, or urinals.
