The Medication Aide provides medication administration for residents in assigned area in a timely manner following all policies and procedures of the Medication Administration guidelines and under the direction of a LPN in accordance with physician’s orders, company and industry standards and federal and state regulations. Works under the direction of the Director of Assisted Living. Administer medication as directed in the Medication Administration policies and procedures except injections, medication given by g-tube, j-tube or nasogastric tubes and IV medications. Minimal Education: High School graduate or G.E.D. Minimal Experience: Minimum of three (3) months work experience in basic nursing procedures for nursing assistants preferred. Other Qualifications: Successfully completed the state approved training program including competency evaluation and facility orientation program. Successfully completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program and has current certification with no allegations of abuse or neglect and current in required in-services. Minimum age of 18 years or older is required for this position due to Department of Labor regulations
