Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
The Home Health Aide provides personal care and related job services in the home. The aide functions under the direction, instruction and supervision of the RN/LPN and the Director of Nursing. Requirements: - At least 1 year experience working as a CNA/HHA - Fluency in both written and spoken English, - Valid driver’s License with excellent record in good standing - American citizenship or have permission to work in Us, have a Social Security Number, - Be Reliable, honest and hardworking - Smoking is not allowed on the job Background check required – Assist with IADLS and ADLs as per the POC - Follow the POC for each client and document the same - Help client maintain good personal hygiene - Plan and prepare nutritious meals. - Assist the client with ambulation as per the POC - Assists the therapy personnel as needed. - Taking and charting vital signs as per the care plan - May cue for medications ordinarily self-administered as assigned - Assist with assigned treatments as ordered by the physician and approved and supervised by the nurse - Prepares time sheet of visit on the day it is performed as directed - Reports any change in the client’s status or home situation to the immediate supervisor, the staff nurse, or the aide supervisor - Carries out their assignment as instructed by the nurse and documents and reports to the nurse when they're unable to do so - Performs routine housekeeping tasks as related to a safe and comfortable environment for the client, as instructed by the professional nurse - Attends in-service as required by state and federal regulations - Confirming weekly, the scheduling of visits with the Supervisor/Director, to coordinate necessary visits with other personnel.
