Responsibilities:  Participate in the planning and coordination of total patient care in conjunction with the RN and the physician's plan of care, and follow the nursing care plan for each patient  Accurately report and record the patient's condition and care, including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change  Prepare clinical/progress notes and summaries  Assist the patient with the activities of daily living while teaching appropriate selfcare techniques  Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient  Assist the physician and Registered Nurse in complex nursing situations  Follow universal precautions whenever giving any aspect of patient care  Follow emergency procedures in the event of any catastrophic event, incident, e.g., accident, injury or significant change in the patient's condition Qualifications: Required Minimum Education: Graduate from an accredited LPN program. Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia. Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association prior to hire date. ACLS/PALS may be required in some practice areas. Required Minimum Experience: Previous healthcare experience preferred. Experience in ambulatory, outpatient setting preferred. In some cases, hospital based experience may substitute. Specific experience in practice specialty may be required. Required Minimum Skills: Must be organized and manage time efficiently to assure patient comfort and satisfaction. Attentiveness to detail. Strong interpersonal/human relations skills, interact positively with staff, providers and patients.
