Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Description
This new associate will receive a $2400 sign on bonus upon hire!! Schedule: 40 hours/week, day shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) Sherbrooke Village, part of Ascension Living, is looking for a caring and compassionate LPN Manager to join the team in South St. Louis County! This community boasts two neighborhoods on campus: assisted living and skilled nursing, which includes memory care, short and long-term care and rehabilitation in a hospital-like setting. As a bonus, we neighbor the beautiful Gravois Creek Conservation area, backing up to walking trails, wildlife and more. As an LPN Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage activities, workflow and resources of assigned nursing unit(s). What You Will Do Key Responsibilities -Assist in implementing clinical services and programs -Effectively communicate expected outcomes, efficient work routines and work procedures to the clinical staff -Assist with implementation and evaluation of quality of care including ongoing auditing of quality indicators -Assure adherence to clinical policies and procedures within departmental guidelines -Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers to assure appropriate care and compliance with state and/or federal regulations -Assume administrative authority for clinical departments in the absence of the nursing leadership -Assist in maintaining clinical budgets -Assume a community presence that monitors resident care -Oversee completion of clinical documentation per community policy and state and federal regulations -Follow regulatory and community standards, policies, procedures and precautions in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment -Assume responsibility for enhancing professional knowledge and skills through participation in educational programs and seminars -Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: -BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. -Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: -Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing with experience required. Work Experience: -3 years of experience required. -1 year of leadership or management experience required.
