Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Description
Ideal candidate has a minimum of one year experience with Home Health, Hospice or Palliative nursing care. Experience and competency using computers with knowledge of electronic medical records documentation. Demonstrated competency in performance of skilled nursing functions. Ability to work with dying patients and their families. Possesses a sympathetic attitude toward caring for the hospice patient and demonstrates positive communication skills in interacting with other members of the hospice team. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality concerning patient and family information. Ability to work efficiently with hospice team in excellent communication, email and text. This position requires a personal vehicle in order to perform the essential job functions. A valid California driver’s license including an acceptable driving record, and auto insurance coverage, as set forth below, are required: Job Types: Part-time, Per diem Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour Medical specialties: • Hospice & Palliative Medicine COVID-19 considerations: Wear mask and show proof of covid vaccination. License/Certification: • LVN (Required) • BLS Certification (Preferred) • LPN (Preferred) Qualifications/Job Description: High school Diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited school of vocational/practical nursing. Current license within the State, required.
