Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The RN works collaboratively with physicians, healthcare professionals, and patients to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Key Responsibilities: Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician. Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions. Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care. Operate and monitor medical equipment. Ensure infection control policies and procedures are followed. Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or life support care as necessary. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients. Qualifications: Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the applicable state. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, if required. Experience: Clinical experience preferred, but new graduates may be considered. Skills and Competencies: Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
